Privacy notice
How we handle personal data on this website and in the course of providing language services.
This is a working draft prepared for launch. Have it reviewed by UAE-qualified counsel before you rely on it in a client contract.
01What we collect
Through this website: the name, organisation, email address, telephone number and message content you submit through the contact or quote forms, together with any files you choose to upload. Through ordinary business: the contact details and correspondence necessary to provide the services you engage us for.
02Why we hold it
To respond to your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, to perform the services you engage us for, to raise invoices, and to keep the records we are required by law to keep. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
03Documents you send us
Files submitted for translation frequently contain personal data belonging to third parties. We process that material only to perform the service, under confidentiality, and we do not use client documents to train any automated system.
04Who else sees it
Only the linguists assigned to your file, each of whom is under a written confidentiality undertaking, and the service providers necessary to host and transmit the material. We maintain a list of those providers and will share it on request.
05Where it is held
We host client material in encrypted storage and log access to it. Where a client requires that material remain within a specific jurisdiction, tell us before you send it and we will confirm whether we can meet that requirement.
06How long we keep it
For as long as the engagement and our record-keeping obligations require, and no longer by default. You may ask us to delete material and we will confirm when it is done.
07Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond.
08Governing framework
We operate under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where a client is subject to the DIFC or ADGM data protection regimes, we will contract on terms that meet those requirements.
